I've joined Mastodon and will avoid Twitter. This is an important and painful step for me, since this is the social platform I joined the longest ago and I still love using. Up until now. I'm still figuring out mastodon, please have patience. @AndreasEK@ruhr.social

Right. As a heavy tweeter/content creator who is now maintaining BOTH a Twitter and Mastodon presence, here is a short guide to what I have set up, how to do it and lessons I've learned, for others. TLDR: It's been WAY less hassle than I expected thanks to tips from followers /1

I also periodically running Debirdify. This find ANY my follows who have added a mastodon tag to their twitter bio and dumps them as a CSV. I can then import them into Mastodon. IMPORTANT: Make sure you add your OWN Mastodon handle to your twitter bio. pruvisto.org/debirdify/

Hey @GoFundMeDE @gofundme, I really would like to donate, but when I select Google Pay as payment option, I am asked for $ 1.150,00 instead of $ 11,50. This smells like a localisation bug to me (decimal comma instead of decimal point). I can't screenshot the Google Pay screen.

@gmail I know the filters, but have a look at this: drive.google.com/file/d/1A-Q2Hd… The email contains • …Elternstammtisch Erdmännchenklasse… • …Blankensteiner Str. 177, Bochum… yet neither searching for Stamm, Erdmännchen nor Blankenstein yields the original mail.

@AndreasEK That doesn't sound good. Have a look at this article to search for emails using search operators in Gmail: goo.gl/tc33EH. You can also combine operators to filter your results even more. Hope that helps.

Since when has search in Gmail become so bad? It seems it only returns exact matches and not if a word contains the part I was looking for. Is it the same for you? (Android App, for me)
