Loved the new Sally Rooney novel, but felt the ending was a little too neat, too conveniently positive given how complex the characters’ predicaments are - what did you think? #SallyRooney #intermezzo

@AndrejevicSenja Judging by the picture, you might have an army of flesh eating pumpkins in the narrative.

@damonlordwriter Welcome aboard! PhD is thankfully a marathon not a sprint :-) I look forward to meeting you later.

@AndrejevicSenja I rarely use Xwitter these days (it's not a platform I enjoy any more), but I wanted to reply. After yrs of trying to make time, I hope my PhD project with its approach to seriality will force me to find an answer to this, for myself at least. It's an aspect I hadn't considered.

@Lifeofmariw @LucyLetbyTrials yes, on Spotify you can find We need to talk about Lucy Letby. It’s a little slow as it’s done by two scientists (a doctor and a statistician) but the information they discuss and present is phenomenal. Detail like you won’t find anywhere else.
English

"Obviously, our evidence, and statistical analysis, showed that [sic] Lucy Letby's presence at everything."
This is Paul Hughes—Cheshire police's lead investigator on the Letby case.
Everyone from police to prosecutors to the reporters in court agreed that the—yes, statistical—evidence of which nurses were on shift when the relevant deaths and collapses happened was absolutely central to the case.
But the supposedly solid foundations of the infamous "nurses present" graph have since collapsed. As a result, many are now trying to claim that statistics played no role whatsoever at Letby's trials.
It's a lie.

A writer’s responsibility travels down a generation or more… we must be careful, honest and brave with our stories.

Having worked for the last few years on my first novel, I’m not writing much drama atm. But I was mega excited to learn that, at my work, the amazing @PapatangoTC will be running a free workshop on 13 November! Can’t wait to learn from these legends of the playwriting industry!
