The Taoists have a practice called Inner Smile meditation. The practice works roughly like this: - You generate a slight physical smile on your face - You connect to the emotional tone of smiling - You radiate that emotional towards each part of your body in turn with an attitude of gentle receptivity. Recently, I’ve been using this as my default way of practicing metta. I start by doing it for myself, then starting to radiate my inner smile energy out to other people and then to my environment and all phenomena that arise in my mindstream. The etymology of “metta” relates most closely to the word “friendliness” in English. To me, the spirit of friendliness is captured much more purely by the emotional tone of a smile than it is by any set of shock phrases. I also find that radiating smiling energy throughout the day is more readily picked up on by others as a friendly energy that brightens their day. It’s also something very easy to conjure up as a physical smile is always available to us to get the process going.

Many parents subtly motivate their children via the offering and withholding of love. This mechanism then gets transferred into how many people motivate themselves. Their mind / heart withholds love from itself until certain conditions are met. It says: until I am like this, or I have that, or the world is like this, then I will not give myself love. Learning how to give yourself unconditional love is one of the biggest free gifts you can offer yourself. It is possible to live in a state where your default baseline stance towards yourself is love. You love yourself when you fail, when you are lazy, when you act poorly, even when you are unhappy. Counterintuitively, this unconditional positive self-regard has a beneficial side effect of making laziness, bad behaviour and unhappiness less common too (perhaps not failure, as to succeed at most worthwhile endeavours usually requires constant failure along the way). Feeling love for ourselves even when feeling unhappy is a particularly interesting phenomena as it reveals how little suffering there actually is in temporary states of unhappiness when they are held with love. Also, when we are no longer tensing up against the possibility of having to withdraw love from ourselves, it is a lot easier to act effectively and lots of energy is freed up. We also start to become motivated by what we actually value in our lives rather than pleasing some inner judge of worthiness. Of course, cultivating unconditional love for ourselves also makes it a lot easier to give and receive love from others. Unconditional self-love is one of the closest cousins to unconditional happiness and much more within reach for most. Cultivating it is a fertile ground for beginning any spiritual journey.

Listen to me. It's time. 1. Start building probing positions into top companies/ETF's. Think $NBIS, $DRAM, $MU, etc. Watch the video to know what probing positions are. 2. Software $IGV will retest to see if this is the low and if there's actual conviction. If this is REAL conviction, then the low is IN. 3. Stage 2 stocks that broke out few weeks ago are currently retesting and seeing if weak hands sell. Don't miss your chance. Build your position, don't sell. 4. Have your cash ready, we are BUYERS of any dip. The AI story is only in it's 2nd inning. We have many years to go up. Do not be scared. Do not panic. Watch how I buy, what I do. You need to learn what the story is of the stock market to be ahead.

Your teeth and bones contain calcium phosphate crystals called hydroxyapatite Cavities occur because these apatite crystals are more soluble under acidic conditions So when you have food/plaque built up on or between your teeth, bacteria like S. mutans metabolize carbohydrates into lactic acid and other acidic byproducts When these acids are left sitting on you teeth they dissolve apatite leading to holes in your enamel which trap food and harbor even more bacteria On top of that, simple sugars in things like candy are more quickly metabolized and get trapped between teeth more easily, and some foods/drinks like soda contain acidic ingredients like phosphoric acid The mechanism by which fluoride "works" to prevent tooth decay is by reacting with hydroxyapatite to covert it to fluoroapatite, which dissolves at somewhat lower pH (4.5 instead of 5.5) The problem is that this requires prolonged contact time with your teeth (at least 30 minutes) making fluoridated water, fluoride rinses, and the way most people brush their teeth practically useless Beyond that systemic fluoride consumption can have unintended negative effects like fluorosis (white spots on teeth) and accumulation in the bones and brain By far the two better alternatives are baking soda and nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes Baking soda or bicarbonate works by directly neutralizing acidity, and can be used to make homemade toothpaste or found as an ingredient in many fluoride-free toothpastes Nano-hydroxyapatite is set to become the next dental industry gold standard, as it can bind to the surface of enamel and directly replace lost enamel, though it also needs ample surface contact time similar to fluoride To prevent cavities: - prioritize whole foods without added sugars/phosphates/acids - eat fruits and vegetables that build a healthy oral microbiome and prevent bacterial overgrowth - brush after meals to neutralize acidity - use nano-HA toothpaste to remineralize teeth - don't rinse your mouth after brushing
