Trump’s 250-foot triumphal arch just cleared a key hurdle.
The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts has approved the design, advancing a massive monument planned for an entrance to Washington, D.C.
The arch will feature a Lady Liberty-style figure holding a torch, gilded eagles, gold lettering reading “One Nation Under God” and “Liberty and Justice for All,” and a public observation deck with 360-degree views, though the four lions originally planned for the base have been removed.

@HvyWeight85 @FoxNews @tylerbowyer The goal is still to appease self-aggrandizing autocratic regimes

@bennyjohnson "They"? Oh you mean Republicans, yes they have shot Trump multiple times.
And as Trump declares his family & businesses are forever to be immune from taxation and investigation, entitled to murder or do other things that are never to be questioned; people understand the shootings

In fact, Joe Biden was a Senator on an Amtrak train to Washington D.C., when his wife Jill, informed him of the attacks. He saw smoke from the Pentagon upon arriving in D.C.
At Capitol Hill the Police had evacuated the building, preventing entry. Biden spoke with an ABC News crew nearby, stressing that terrorism wins if civil liberties are altered or government institutions are shut down. The following day, he gave a speech on the Senate floor serving as a leading figure in the government's response and subsequent memorials.

@Acyn How stupid are these people?
King George died 74 years ago, are they digging up his coffin?

A petition for SpaceX to get serious about Artemis:
1. Why the Moon, why now?
I don’t agree with Ted Cruz about much, but on this topic he is not wrong. The reason for Artemis is China. When a power establishes in-situ Lunar manufacture of 'metal rods', a.k.a. gun-rail munitions, it will have the option of holing any structure or craft approaching or anywhere on the Moon; and the CCP expansionist conduct has already been demonstrated such as in Tibet, the Spratly Islands and Australian Antarctic.
2. NASA preoccupation with manned missions has been jeopardising the international interests.
Humans in EMU suits lack the dexterity, endurance and versatility of robotic avatars that will undertake construction and manufacture tasks. The first Lunar bases need to house machines not humans, nuclear power is not essential for robotic operations, Nissen huts of reflective foil can provide preliminary level of thermal regulation for Lunar night conditions.
N.B. With only 2.6 second delay Optimus and other bots can use a combination of human (avatar) and programmed (robotic) control which would facilitate rapid development of construction and other routines that would be essential for later Mars and other locales.
3. Steel and a fifty metre disembarkation descent are not advantageous.
Instead of a modified Starship with six Raptor engines, the SpaceX Lunar landers should consist of 8 metre diameter modules that Starship can deliver to, and assemble in LEO and more preferably use carbon fibre and other materials in preference to steel; unless you’re a fan of Compton radiation. The modules should connect to form a two stage craft, instead of six Raptors there should be two, one Raptor for the first stage that moves the combined craft to Lunar transit, and one Raptor plus mid-body RCS/landing thrusters as envisioned in previous HLS designs for the Lunar landers.
The rational thing would be to design and deploy one way cargo landers first.
The most important task of the first stage is to reduce the height of the Lunar Lander so that the disembarkation system can become simpler and more robust.
You have a lovey engine, great engineers, and have chosen a fuel less problematic than hydrogen.

Yeah, but currently you're not planning good use of them. Securing a Lunar base before China achieves in-situ manufacture of 'metal rods' is existential, rods a.k.a. gun-rail munitions able to hole any structure or craft approaching or on the Moon; consider the Spratly Isles & its bases across the Australian Antarctic

The all black paint on the base looks cool

insane to see side by side

@elonmusk This is NOT one of the fundamental questions,
it's meant to be a DISTRACTION from a raft of criminal political actions as well as shameless tax cuts for a billionaire class . . . That's $trillions that the American public couldn't afford even before the new war

English

Let me get this straight,
in 'honour' of American independence,
Trump's lawyer Todd Blanche has awarded Trump's minions $1.776 billion from US tax payers with which to fund a selection of their loyalist for past & or future actions they may commit for the Trump family ?

🚨 JUST IN: TRUMP SLAPS DOWN INSANE IRANIAN DEAL AGAIN — Axios
Negotiations might continue "THROUGH BOMBS" if they keep this up, an official said
The mullahs sent ANOTHER laughable proposal to President Trump, and he just said 'NO' because Iran refuses to cave

Iran is REALLY screwing up here.
A lot of horrible things could happen to them in the next week.
