@RachelCoyleOhio You’re just outright wrong. Public schools have surpluses like they’ve never had in Ohio.

The Mayor of Charlotte is demanding people stop posting this reminder of the lovely innocent Iryna Zarutska butchered by a savage on Charlotte public transit. He was on probation by a liberal activist judge.

@RachelCoyleOhio @VivekGRamaswamy We’ve substantially lowered taxes over the last 15 years, fully funded education, reduced regulations, and made Ohio a top state to attract businesses and good-paying jobs. Ohio is now: • #1 in the Midwest for Business • #5 nationally for Business Climate

@MorganTrau @WEWS @WCPO @OhioCapJournal They’re wasting taxpayer money. Everyone of those schools districts should focus on educating their students, reducing chronic absenteeism, and remediating the hundreds of thousands of students still behind due to the pandemic.

NOW: In Ohio's 10th District Court of Appeals, 300+ public schools are fighting to end the EdChoice private school voucher program. The state has asked judges to overturn the majority of a trial ruling, one that deemed the program unconstitutional. @WEWS @WCPO @OhioCapJournal

And those 300+ public schools are using your tax dollars to challenge the state law that gives you a choice in your child’s education. They will ultimately lose. When they come begging for more taxes, ask them why they spent the money you already gave them on losing lawsuits.

@jackwindsor I object to public tax dollars being used to fund private schools. It is a clear violation of the Ohio Constitution.

@OhioGunOwners Are you going to respond to my post or just ignore it? Again you’re pushing a false narrative. Are you going to ding every other politician who also received money from the success group or just those who you predetermined you didn’t want back in the general assembly?

When Marc Elias isn't being a hypocrite, his law firm is advising Ohio Democrat gubernatorial hopeful Amy Acton and Lieutenant Governor pick David Pepper, sending cease-and-desist letters to hush people who shine a light on Acton's past and Pepper's hypocrisy. Oh, and trying to gerrymander the entire U.S.

Did you know that Amy Acton and David Pepper's campaign lawyers—Elias Law Group—are the folks behind the Virginia referendum? The effort may produce a congressional map in the Old Dominion State that favors Democrats 10-1 over Republicans, despite 46% of Virginians voting for Trump in 2024. Wasn't David Pepper one of the Dems crowing about "gerrymandering" when Ohio created its congressional maps? Yes. Yes he was. He once wrote - according to an Ai deep search - (in tweets that have been erased): “The Ohio House not only wants to gerrymander the state…they get mad if people complain about it.” And then saying about the GOP efforts in Ohio to redistrict that it “violates the spirit and language of the Ohio Constitution, and the mandate of 70% of voters who voted to end partisan gerrymandering. Twice.” Ironically, what Pepper is criticizing is precisely what’s happening in Virginia right now – and being ushered in by the DC beltway law firm he and Amy Acton choose to work with. The law firm that is founded by Marc Elias – Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign lawyer and the guy in the middle of Fusion GPS, the Steele Dossier and the Russia Probe. What happened in Virginia last night: the nonpartisan commission (enacted by a constitutional amendment passed by 67.5% of voters) the same type of commission Pepper and Dems pushed for in Ohio (but failed to get with Issue 1) is being skipped over in favor of – you guessed it – a Democrat-controlled legislature drawing the congressional map. A map that will almost eliminate Republican representation in the state. If the principle of gerrymandering is something Pepper – and his running mate Amy Acton – opposes, then we can expect him to rebuff his law firm and denounce their efforts in Virginia, right? Because he’s opposed to “partisan gerrymandering that favors one party,” right? davidpepper.substack.com/p/dissecting-b… #Ohio #OhioNews #AmyActon #DavidPepper

Yost Urges Ohio Supreme Court to Uphold Candidate’s Removal From Ballot Attorney general files friend-of-the-court brief backing Delaware County board’s residency ruling against Melanie Leneghan COLUMBUS, Ohio — Attorney General Dave Yost filed a friend-of-the-court brief Tuesday urging the Ohio Supreme Court to keep a candidate off the May 5 primary ballot because she does not live in the district she wants to represent. The case involves Melanie Ann Leneghan, who is running for a seat on the Republican State Central Committee for the 19th State Senate District. The Delaware County Board of Elections voted 2-1 on April 10 to remove her name after a hearing showed she failed to meet state residency rules. Yost’s brief supports the board’s decision and asks the court to reject Leneghan’s appeal. She filed a petition for a writ of mandamus on April 14 seeking to get back on the ballot. “For purposes of elected office, residency is paramount,” the brief says. “Relator believes she has the right to shop for a constituency. She does not. Voters should choose their representatives. Relator would have it the other way around.” Evidence at the board hearing showed Leneghan and her husband sold their Powell home in January 2025. She owns a house in South Carolina where her husband lives now, and she had not actually lived at the Delaware County addresses listed on her voter registration and candidacy papers, the brief states. Ohio law defines a person’s residence as “the place in which a person’s habitation is fixed and to which, whenever the person is absent, the person has the intention of returning.” Yost’s brief says the board properly weighed the evidence and found Leneghan’s claims of residency not believable. It argues that candidates must have real ties to the communities they seek to serve. “Elected officials should be held to a higher standard than their electorate,” the brief says. “A candidate’s connection to their constituency informs decision making based on the locality’s needs, increases the local electorate’s voter education, and preserves election integrity and public confidence in the electoral process.” The brief asks the Supreme Court to deny Leneghan’s petition and let the board’s ruling stand. #Ohio #OhioNews #BreakingNews #MelanieLeneghan #OhioRepublicanParty
