I approve Elon being the only person that can fire Elon - and it’s true. According to reports, the confidential SpaceX IPO S-1 sets up a dual-class share structure where public investors get Class A shares (1 vote each). Elon and insiders control the Class B super-voting shares (10 votes each). And the filing explicitly says Elon can only be removed as CEO, Chairman, or from the board by a vote of the Class B holders. So in practice, only Elon can fire himself. This is because he will control the vast majority of the Class B super-voting shares. Importantly, it’s not because he owns roughly ~42% of the total equity - it’s the 10x voting power of those Class B shares that gives him exclusive control over decisions like firing himself as CEO or Chairman. This protects the long-term mission from short-term Wall Street pressure. As a long-term SpaceX investor, this makes total sense to me.
