This isn’t a crime of teenage passion or even one of peer pressure or mob mentality—this was this kid’s own project entirely. He has all the hallmarks of a serial killer. He spoke to the elderly lady gardening nicely and then stabbed her in the face.

The kid was suspended from school for bringing a knife. He researched and planned the killing. He was interested in harming animals. He researched the right grip to stab more effectively. They’re proposing for him to be in the community again by the time he’s 20.

It's an entirely valid point. Much of the media & partisans on the left would even give him a pass on the cost (though they screamed about the tax dollars when Pierre ran in by-election).
The only thing I can figure is it the pure enjoyment of it. Pierre does a few podcasts, comma takes a new direction, seems to get a traction.
Then BOOM. Another crossing.
All timed perfectly to maximize impact.

Canada doesn’t lack the ability to build high speed rail, it lacks the ability to build it economically. Chinese firms have solved that problem. Domestically they build for $17–21 million per km. I’d be curious what that looks like in a Canadian context.

JTF2 (Canadian Tier 1 special operations).
Grew up on a Métis settlement in Alberta, played junior hockey, worked the oil fields, then walked into a recruiting office and told them he wanted JTF2. He spent 14 years as a JTF2 operator across five major combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In 2017 in Mosul, Iraq, he was part of the four man sniper team that took out an ISIS fighter at a distance of more than 3.5 kilometres, setting the world record for the longest confirmed kill shot in military history.
After everything he gave, he was forced out of the unit for refusing the COVID vaccine mandate. He walked away and picked up a guitar. Now he makes country music.

The amount of bread, muffins, bagels and baguettes we just witnessed being tossed in the garbage at Metro grocery store is worth the tweet.
In a time of a food bank crisis and homelessness tossing food like this seems sad.
Staff said a lot more food not selling is being tossed.
