@CitizenZ_1000 actually, before visionOS was Oculus, which was like a console in comparison. Every app had to figure out how a UI should display, how windows should work, how a pointer and scrolling should work, everything. Quest was like a games console, visionOS was a computing platform.

@AndrewHart Hmm, my opinion is the opposite. I don't see vision, just a floating GUI (existed in VR before visionOS), nothing next gen about it (control is more than ass, less than 1/5th pc bandwidth), and then its bulky and expensive with NO use cases yet. Ive owned one since launch day.

Vision Pro is like the modern Macintosh. Visionary and innovative on many fronts, the next gen interface (GUI/spatial), in a nicely designed, but bulky, expensive product, many years ahead of its time. And neither has sold very well. Thankfully Apple didn’t fire anyone this time.

Picking the brand color for base8 was a little side quest that looked like this: I wanted a tangy red/orange, bright and energised, to communicate exciting, high tech, hardware vibes. but not "evil robot company" vibes. Final choice has a softer, friendly edge to it.
