Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. Round ball. Round bat. The margin for error is insanely small. Understanding how your barrel moves throughout the entire arc of the swing is important.

I probably didn't do a good job of articulating my point while making breakfasts and lunches for everyone in my house this morning.
I like Cam Young a lot. By all indications, he seems like a good person. He also worked very hard to get to where he is.
My point, the OG post claims "Cam Young is America" and he is a representation of success from the 1%. It doesn't mean he also isn't a hard worker. But he was definitely given resources, access, and opportunity that other hard working talented people will never even sniff.

Look, I love Cam Young's game, and he seems like a good guy.
Cam Young was born on 2nd. The son of a club pro in one of the best courses on the East Coast. He had every opportunity and resource available to him to go do this. Something that is available to about .5% of golfers on the planet.

🇺🇸 golf fans don’t care about being entertained. They will watch whatever golf is on the traditional networks like going to your local IHOP just bc other ppl go. On the positive side, I do believe they will be remembered for influencing some change on the actual Tour.

LIV has low ratings because its presentation and its product don’t mesh. They tried, they had all the money in the world, and they failed. You liked it; the consumers didn’t.

The % of people who no longer play basketball but will watch it is much higher than it is for golf. You aren’t going to capture the non-player audience with DJs.

What's the path forward for him and his ilk?
The sport becomes infinitely less interesting with no competitive league to the Tour.
There's billions less infused to the sport, just disappearing back under a mattress in the middle east.
Do these media outlets think it won't impact them negatively?
They've thrived on LIV hate.

What (I’m assuming) people like you got wrong is that their dislike wasn’t because of some monetary conflict of interest. It’s because LIV sucks, the PIF sucks, and most people want to see Bryson and Rahm play on the PGA Tour.
