My DMs are once again full of questions about the Enhanced Games, so I’ll just leave this here… I never have been, and never will be, interested in it. It’s a gimmick. It doesn’t address any of the real issues in our sport, and worse, it creates an even greater perceived barrier to entry for athletes from under-resourced backgrounds. I’m not a doctor, so I’ll steer clear of the health side, but you can probably guess where I stand on that as well. I want swimming to grow just as much as anyone else, but I want it to grow the right way: through better media, stronger grassroots investment, and more professional opportunities across the board. Swimming is more than just a sport. The more people we bring into it, the more people we make water safe. That’s what makes this sport special. That’s all I’ve got. Cheers.
