@chakrabortty All good questions/points Aditya. The suggestion of parity with PAYE employees on tax and NI doesn't seem fair either unless self emp are given parity when it comes to unemployment benefits etc etc. Tough times for sure.

Three thoughts on Sunak's deal for the self-employed: 1) Waiting till June is a kick in the teeth 2) What if you're a freelancer rolling from PAYE contract to PAYE contract? Need detail here 3) The self-employed are going to be paying a lot more tax, poss as soon as next year

@cllrbartington I often go out to mend a bus on my bike. I carry tools, laptop, bulbs,wiper blades , fuses cable and a whole lot more. Rucksack paniers no problem.

Er yes, I usually carry two laptops on the bike, plus the rest of my mobile "office", change of clothes, waterproofs, shoes, lunch, spares, snacks, flask, notebooks... 🙄🙄
