No. The bread is English bread so it’s fluffy and not sweet. The cheese is real cheddar, not gummy American cheese. The onion is raw for a reason. It has a strong flavour. I know it’s cool to hate on British food but sometimes simple things are delicious, and we have plenty of complicated food too. This is just a sandwich, people need to relax.

Did it never occur to y’all to caramelize the onions, toast the bread, and melt the cheese?
