I don’t speak Welsh - but it’s still my language, like it is for many people across Wales. Welsh isn’t something that divides us. It’s something that belongs to us all. O bydded i’r hen iaith barhau.

@AndrewNeath84 So what about the majority of comedians who get paid and come out with offensive jokes etc ?

@AndrewNeath84 Do you know what a cameo is snowflake? Grow up. It’s not his personal view. Both my girls speak Welsh. Stop being such a drama king.

@AndrewNeath84 I speak Welsh, but I don’t carry around the entitlement of feeling offended by everything

@WillHayCardiff ...and yet a @Plaid_Cymru candidate in the forthcoming Senedd elections defends not being a Welsh speaker because it's "not a requirement of seeking or holding public office". Interesting that they don't value being a Welsh speaker themselves! x.com/AndrewNeath84/…

Nigel Farage has called Welsh people “Foreign speakers” in a Cameo video. I hate to break it to you Mr Farage, but if you read a history book you would realise English is more foreign in the UK than Welsh. He said: “Gutted I couldn’t attend the wedding. I wanted to come, but I heard that half the guests were Welsh, and I don’t know. Who knows what would have happened with all those foreign speakers there. I don’t know.” This is at a time that his party are trying to convince people in Wales that they should elect them to the Welsh Parliament. Big credit to the Guardian for breaking this story: theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-int…

@AndrewNeath84 🤔 You're a candidate for the forthcoming Senedd elections in Neath and you didn't personally think it was important enough for you to learn, understand and speak Welsh? I'm not a Welsh speaker either, but I've never needed to speak a word of Welsh in my chosen profession.
