All the criticism of @Plaid_Cymru on here is bringing a big smile to my face. Plaid Cymru are the government of Wales and the opposition are in tears over it. I may not agree with Plaid on everything but bitter Reform accounts and ex Labour politicians complaining is brilliant 🤣

Here we go again😡 John Swinney has announced the first vote of this parliament will be on independence. It is now clear that the SNP intend on using the next five years as they used the last 19 years. Stoking up grievance and division. Not governing for Scotland. Surely it is time to move on from this independence obsession.

This guy is a graceless cunt. I can be undiplomatic because I’m not an MSP. This prick has been gifted a wage after losing an election, and he thinks the Trumpian/Farage approach of being a bellend is a winner. Arsehole.

Only in SNP Scotland could a failing Education Secretary who has let down a generation of young people get a promotion. Jenny Gilruth is just the latest in a long line of useless politicians failing upwards.

Welshness does not aspire to rule another nation, Wes Streeting's and Farage's Britishness does.

When a government ceases to uphold democratic norms, the duty to democracy passes to the nations that still believe in it.Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland must now act not as dependents of a broken system, but as democratic custodians of the principles Westminster has forsaken. Recognition at the UN is not rebellion it is restoration. The world must see that democracy survives only when those who still honour it stand up and speak ☮️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤔🌏⚖️

If Ireland and Scotland do the same, why wouldn’t we work together? The only people who call that ‘not real independence’ are the ones desperate to keep the Celtic nations divided and ruled from London.

There really isn't enough discussion about how *little* Gaelic Medium Education provision there actually is, even in traditional Gaelic heartlands. For example, only around 17% of all primary schools in the Highlands and Islands offer GME.
Jamie McIntyre@_JamieMcIntyre

This situation has inevitably led to some discussion on the state of Gaelic. Some say in Ireland Irish is compulsory, but (in their view) that's counter-productive. But before we get to compulsory, how about just *available* in all schools in Scotland. Or even just in the H&I.

Mea Culpa. Suggested in an earlier post that both Flynn and Gethins would not require by elections having left their MP jobs. Wrong. Both by elections have been announced.
