Sam Carrick said he didn’t break any bones and his injury isn’t a common one in hockey. Initially was told it could be 4-6 weeks or 6-8. Lindy Ruff said Carrick is days away from being available.

@NotTheJoeMarino Assuming they found blood clot in workup his vertigo, he needs at least 3 months of anticoagulation. If tests are clear (no evidence of clot) he can come off and play. Cannot play on a blood thinner whatsoever.

HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD: WNY will be treated to a total lunar eclipse early Tuesday morning. Totality begins at 6:04 am with maximum eclipse at 6:33 am shortly before the Moon sets on the westward horizon, cutting totality short. This presents intriguing potential as this low-hanging Moon will likely appear extra red and larger (the Moon illusion). It'll also present with greater viewing difficulty as clouds to our west become more of a player. Remember, it's not the cloud cover overhead that's relevant. It's the cloud cover to our west. It's going to be a challenge to be granted a view given the advancement of that cloud cover. That said, it's not impossible we're granted a glimpse or two. If we do, the reward would be a particularly stunning lunar eclipse. It's tough for me to advise setting an early alarm to witness this show given the cloud cover & reality that you'll need to find a location with an unobstructed westward view. But if you want to try your luck, you could be rewarded.

Sean McDermott just gave an excellent answer/insight into the conversations going on during the 1-yard line kneel/score situation. He said he even originally wanted to bleed clock/kneel, but then decided not to get too cute and have a negative play. Essentially said it's a tough call and something they are going to discuss at length with his game management staff to go over it for future situations. Will have the full quote on this later. Really good stuff.
