Absolutely buzzing with this , when I started couch to 5k I never thought I could run for half an hour. Longest run yet. I'm sure I will feel sore tomorrow but well worth it #running

Today, 5th Jan trains between Park Lane & Pelaw will start later than usual.
Between 7am & 8am trains will terminate at East Boldon, from then trains will begin to operate a 24 minute schedule between Park Lane & Pelaw.
Sunderland Station will remain closed.

This train will return to service at 07:39 at Regent Centre platform 1, towards Park Lane.

There is currently a gap in service between Pelaw and Airport due to a train being withdrawn from service. Please leave extra time for your journey where possible. We are working to have this train replaced as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Due to the emergency track repairs taking place this evening, unfortunately the peak extra services which operate between Pelaw and Monkseaton will not be running.
Trains are currently running to the normal 12 minute frequency between St James and South Shields.

To assist customers this morning Metro tickets and passes can be used on the following local bus services in either direction...
9 between Jarrow and Sunderland
56 between Sunderland and Newcastle
26 between Jarrow and South Shields
27 between Gateshead and South Shields

Due to the earlier train failure at Ilford Road, and one further train fault we currently have delays of up to 25 minutes affecting the service between South Gosforth - Park Lane and major delays of up to 40 minutes between South Gosforth and South Shields.

Due to the damage at the Network Rail electrical substation at Pallion we are operating a 24-minute service between Pelaw and Park Lane, with no trains travelling to University, Millfield, Pallion or South Hylton.
