California Rambler. Anglican of the Protestant sort.

High Churchmen need to have a better vision for Anglicanism than liturgywars, because by every metric the Evangelicals are demographically winning and have stayed more orthodox. Sure you can claim Sydney isn't Anglican, but they have influence in GAFCON, and Ft Worth doesn't

The reason every US military chaplain chaplain awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor since the Civil War was a Catholic priest is because Catholic priests have something to offer a dying soldier that Protestant chaplains don’t: last rites. That’s why they would routinely put themselves in harm’s way to reach dying men on the battlefield, why they inspired their fellow soldiers to become Catholic, and why they alone have been recognized with the Congressional Medal of Honor in the modern era.

English conservatives are embracing anti Catholicism again

The parades, with their thundering Lambeg drums, military-style band uniforms and sash-clad Orangemen, can admittedly seem strange and aggressive to anyone who is not from the province or parts of the west of Scotland. Some Irish nationalists have portrayed them, particularly in the past, as 'coat-trailing' exercises in intimidation. Infamously, in the 1990s, a stand-off over a Sunday morning parade to Drumcree church in Portadown sparked days of rioting and was linked to several deaths. The arguments over the march, which persist to this day, encapsulated many of the themes of other parading disputes that flared at that time. ✍️ Owen Polley Article | spectator.com/article/britai… | @3000Versts
