Per HockeyPatrol on Instagram, #SJSharks forward Macklin Celebrini is set to be cover athlete for #NHL27. IF TRUE, Mack would join Owen Nolan (NHL 2001) & Joe Thornton (NHL 2K7) as Sharks cover athletes. Would also mean EA Sports found a way to get my money after 11 years.

The Old High Churchmen was the supporter of the established position of the Church in the nation, not so much liturgy. Even if establishment is no longer possible today, the Old High Church would be supportive of Christian excellence in all echelons snd institutions of society.

High Churchmen need to have a better vision for Anglicanism than liturgywars, because by every metric the Evangelicals are demographically winning and have stayed more orthodox. Sure you can claim Sydney isn't Anglican, but they have influence in GAFCON, and Ft Worth doesn't

the unfortunate fact, which libcaths struggle to admit, is that the Tridentine mass (up to and including the 1962 missal) has a number of clear advantages over the Novus Ordo

@cappuccinoo2000 @dogslovecranmer It good that many Anglican parish are offering an early Holy Communion (in accordance with the Book of Common Prayer ) and a later Eucharist often sung (with the newer service book )

@dogslovecranmer I know it’s a niche thing to care this much about liturgy, but alas: a big issue in modern Roman Catholicism rn is that liturgy is a front in the culture war, and it’s impeding their ability to move forward. Lib Anglicans and Lutherans are happy to embrace (superior) trad liturgy

At a time when the Tridentine Mass is so clearly associated with schism and resistance to the pope, how is "we need more of this, not less" any kind of rational response to the problem? Sure, accommodate those who are attached, but for the Church it's past time to move on.

@Abathurchan True. Nowadays it seems that High Churchiness is just an escape from society. It's even pitched that way! "Liturgy is an escape from the drag of modern life." Meanwhile evangelicals are adopting every aspect of secular culture and trying to use it for the gospel

@BarDown No. Terrible, in fact. Three Eastern teams? Makes no sense. Should be Avs, one of EDM or VGK or MIN or DAL, and then CAR and FLA or TB. Those are the three dominant Eastern teams, and the Avs are obvious, with one of the other dominant Western teams. FWC semi is top four ranked!
