These 2 guys are fighting each other today. I can’t stress enough that boxing is the worst sport in the world.
The boxing elitists think they’re part of a sport that’s somehow superior to every other combat sport. “You don’t know shit about boxing. Only the intellectuals can truly understand it.” Yet in almost every major crossover fight, the debutante has actually done pretty well. Conor had success early. Francis, I still think, won. And Rico should’ve been ahead going into the 12th. The element of the unknown, the surprise factor, tends to play into the hands of the debutante. Now, what happened to Francis against AJ should be a lesson for Rico. Once there’s tape and opponents know what to expect, the outcome can look very different. But spare me with the boxing superiority complex. If boxers entered MMA or kickboxing, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.
