🎙 Declan Rice on why Mikel Arteta convinced him to join Arsenal and the journey that followed......
🗣"I had some options available, but they vanished after a conversation with Mikel. I've never been this convinced about playing, and with this manager."
🎙 Declan Rice reflects on his first talks with Mikel Arteta and the belief behind his Arsenal move.....
🗣"The way he talks and explains all his plans, and everything he's talked about has become a reality, it's amazing. I knew achieving just one would mean so much more than anything else, considering where the team came from. I wanted to be a part of that." #afc

🚨🏆 𝗡𝗘𝗪: From everyone laughing at him… to CONQUERING England:
• Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal in the 2019/20 season. Arsenal were going through one of the darkest periods in the club’s modern history: no UCL football, no major success, and years of instability
• Arteta took over a broken Arsenal and started rebuilding everything in his own way, step by step
• He won the FA Cup in his first season and it looked like bigger things were coming, but Arsenal then went more than 5 YEARS without winning a major title
• Fans were losing patience. Rival fans mocked Arsenal constantly. They came close so many times, finishing 2nd again and again
• This season, Arsenal dominated the Premier League. At one point, it looked like they would bottle it once more and finish 2nd again… but not this time. This time Arteta DID IT
• Arsenal have now won the Premier League for the first time since 2004 and made history
And in just a few days, they will play a Champions League final. 🏴✨

🗣️| Declan Rice following the final home game of the season: “It's emotional because where this club's come from, from the last 10 years, the ups and downs of this club. Obviously, I wasn't here before, but I knew all about it, heard all about it.
“But to be a part of what's going on now at this club is so special. This club deserves really good things and we've worked really hard towards that. So, let’s keep pushing.” [@arsenal] #afc

8 - Michael Carrick is only the sixth manager – and first English manager – to win 8+ of his opening 9 home games in the @premierleague, and first since Antonio Conte in 2016-17 (also 8/9). Compelling.

The injuries this season have been so infuriating:
3/4 of Ten Hag’s first choice back line are likely to miss half the season.
- Martinez: 3 months
- Shaw: 3 months
- AWB: 2 months+
- Malacia: 5 months +
- Reguilon: 4 weeks
- Varane: In and out of injuries every few weeks.
- Maguire/ Lindelof have already missed a game through injury.
Mainoo, Amad have been out for 3 months with injuries.
Amrabat/Hojlund arrived injured.
Mount was out for 6 weeks.
+ Whole Antony/Sancho situation.
I do feel for Ten Hag, he wants to play a certain way and you could see it vs Palace. But he has just not had the players available to do this consistently.
Hope the media stop this Erik Ten Hag agenda.

90% of Manchester United fans don't want to see Erik Ten Hag succeed here because he has finally gained control over many lazy and average players at the club. This is something we have been asking for from Ole, Mourinho, Ralfnick, Moyes, and Van G for many years. However, the players always got their way. Now that we have the best coach in the game, everyone wants him gone. Some even say he won't win anything again and will be sacked before next season. Okay, bookmark this tweet. We will all come back one day to appreciate his greatness. 🐐
