New travel testing rules from 4am Friday: a reminder that these currently apply only to travellers returning to England and Wales; no response so far from Scotland and Northern Ireland as far as I can see.

Ryanair: a great airline in many respects, but with a regrettable record of making life miserable for some passengers.

@SimonCalder Hi simon I have sent the claim off thank you for your help , another question I return to the uk on a cruise on 7th October do I need any covid tests on return to the uk ? Thanks in advance Andy
@AndyConstantin8 Ryanair appears to owe you denied boarding compensation and the cost of the Jet2 flight. I have reminded all the airlines of the actual European law, rather than what they/the UK government pretend it is.
Passport latest
British Airways has removed from its website the incorrect assertion “UK citizens need a minimum of 6 months validity on a passport that is less than 10 years old to travel within the EU.”
Instead, BA now links to UK government advice – which, sadly, remains wrong
@AndyConstantin8@SimonCalder Do they ask for 3 months even if you're flying back to the UK on a British passport? I thought the issue was just with entering Schengen countries (or other third countries)...
@AndyConstantin8@AlisonT90161728@SimonCalder All you need is your proof of full covid vaccination and your negative covid test, this can be either antigen or PCR test all will be checked by the Portuguese border force and your passport will be stamped and that is it.
@LuisFil34658600@AlisonT90161728@SimonCalder Hi I travel to Portugal soon for 5 days what else do I need
1, I need proof of cvid vaccine
2 pcr or antigen negative test before I fly
Anything else ?
thanks
@AlisonT90161728@SimonCalder I arrived on Saturday,my 1st dose is one of those batches,Portuguese border force checked my vaccination paperwork and my negative test and that was that no questions asked no issues at all.
