Five years ago, a season ticket to watch Ben Garner's play-off chasing side was £320.
Four seasons of record-breaking low finishes, admin errors, lies, deceit, little community engagement and consistent, utter contempt later, and #STFC fans are now being asked to fork out close to £500 for the same seat next season.
It's outrageous and illogical that prices are up c. 50% compared to 2021/22 while attendances this season are down 15% compared to that year.
All the while, the fan experience gets worse. The Town End is not fit for purpose, and even if it was, self-imposed rules mean it's entirely unwelcoming.
And yet the club have the gall to demand more than £450.
Next season will see another empty Town End and a CG bereft of atmosphere, and it'll be positioned as our fault.
Clem Morfuni is learning that winning football matches isn't enough to get bums on seats; the ground continues to crumble and the trajectory remains set. Next season's ticket prices are just another nail in the coffin of @Official_STFC's identity and culture at the County Ground under Morfuni et al.
