This is a targeting foul. The QB clearly no longer has the ball, which is obvious to the defender, making him defenseless. There is forcible contact to the head/neck area and it's with the crown of the helmet. It violates both targeting rules.

Notre Dame beat SEC Arkansas by 43 points at Arkansas. Arkansas' 8 losses in SEC play were by a COMBINED 54 points. Notre Dame would be favored on a neutral over EVERY SEC team right now. Notre Dame beat SEC champ Georgia 11 months ago and the Irish are better this year.

For those mocking Alabama's win at Auburn, ponder this (before hopefully studying some Iron Bowl history): Auburn played 4 of the 12 playoff teams and went 0-4 but ... Led Oklahoma in the 4Q Trailed TAMU by 3 in the 4Q Trailed Georgia by 3 in the 4Q Was tied with Alabama in the 4Q Auburn's talent was much better than its record. FYI Notre Dame played two playoff teams and went 0-2 -- halfway to Auburn's 0-4.

So folks at @espn are upset ND isn’t playing in a bowl game after weeks of folks politicking against the lack of conference affiliation, using them as a pawn for their CFB playoff selection show, having the ACC network play the UM/ND game on repeat for 48 hours during Conf Champ week BUT now it’s a bad look they don’t want to serve ESPN’s best interest by playing in an exhibition bowl game?
