Someone just sent me a photo of this gentleman in Westlock. Apparently, he’s been in front of his residence all day, holding this sign. Seeing such spontaneous show of love for Canada fills me with joy, but he shouldn’t have to do this. He should be able to rest, not worrying.

The separation movement in Alberta is purely grassroots; there's no elected or previously elected politicians involved. (None of stature anyway). The UCP are wisely staying out of the fray & letting Albertans decide for themselves. They'll have to implement the decision, whichever way it goes.

I completely underestimated how much the separatists, including the more extremist elements, now pull the strings of Smith and the UCP. Smith has always been a loose cannon, but the total silence from the rest of the UCP MLAs as this unfolds speaks absolute volumes. #Abpoli
