In case you were wondering, the Education Act in Ontario already expressly REQUIRES schools to hold back some information from parents if they have reason to believe that harm will come to the child. Unfortunately, many 2SLGBTQIA+ kids still risk abuse at home if they come out.

@Eric_M_V Yes, exactly. This is a foundational principle of health care in Canada, and crucially important. Trans people are again being targeted, because we can be separated from the herd and culled off. it's shameful.

School boards, parents and queer advocates forced Premier Ford to back off when he tried to mess with 🏳️‍🌈-inclusive comprehensive sexuality education in 2019. We will do it again, if we have to.

There's a segment on Egyptian sacred cat cults in this documentary I am watching. I tried to kick the cat out when they explained how people pray to, feed, and treat the cat like a god. He refused to leave and is perhaps taking notes.

@WimminsRea @lucasdrayton Oh, I just remembered: There is an administrative process now, this has become so widespread, the Tooth Fairy has a new policy allowing the child to simply notify them that it will not be left out. You just call and schedule, and notify the tooth is missing: 1-800-961-8516

Friendly reminder that it's easy to read cases during your time in law school and forget that there are real people involved in them. You never know who might be in your class, listening to your off the cuff comments. Cultivating your capacity for empathy starts day 1 of 1L.
