Great to catch up with Dave Babych at the @pdxwinterhawks game tonight honoring 11 of the top 50 Hawks. Babs was my Moms favorite and he is just one of the many outstanding people to have played junior in the Rose City. #legend

@BillFairway Bill, we didn’t always see eye to eye, but that manifested from our shared passions for our teams and the league. From working together on Shaw to being a guest on Giants broadcasts, you always were gracious and asked great questions. Thank you and congratulations!!!

Eve and I decided this past summer that 25 years of Vancouver Giants radio was an incredible number to end an incredible journey with an incredible team. Words will never adequately describe how I feel about what the Toigo family, ownership group and fans have meant to me. The most significant part of working for the Giants is not what I might have contributed to the team or the Whl but who I have become. These 25 years have given me the opportunity to, at 83 yrs, become a better man, a better person. I trust I have become that. I am humbled by the trust the Vancouver Giants have put in me to publicly promote their brand on both radio and TV the past 25 years. I know “thank you” will never even remotely express the feelings I have in my heart. I treasure the memories the team has poured into my life. I knew I would be emotional writing this. Now let’s push this Giants team into the playoffs!!

The last shutout for @pdxwinterhawks vs. Moose Jaw was nearly exactly 7 years ago when Shane Farkas stopped 23 shots in a 6-0 win in Moose Jaw on 1/5/19. The last shutout at home vs. Warriors was 12/29/99 - Jason Labarbera stopping 26 shots in a 3-0 win.

@Spassvogel Here is the rulebook definition - the operative word is "deliberately". Deeming it to be deliberate is difficult to determine.

@AndyKemper What's the actual rule on "glove to puck" going into the net. That's the reason they gave. I showed the replay four times. It looked to me like the d-man went to clear the puck and shot it at Miller's hands (holding his stick) and the puck bounced down and in. (1/2)

Video review pet peeve…if it has to be “conclusive” to overturn the call on the ice…and it takes more than five minutes to review…by definition, how can that be “conclusive “?
