I reckon there is some stuff about Burnham and grooming gangs that will emerge at some point, too. You are spot on about the dearth of talent in Labour, but personally I don't think it is main reason people are unhappy with them. It's that their policies are driving the country off a cliff.

PM just gave a speech to this room and was applauded for it as he directly said ‘I’m sorry’ to victims of Epstein for believing Mandelson’s lies and appointing him. He was angry and clearly knows the predicament he’s in. That was a survival speech and seemed to me an appeal to his party as he made the case to stay in post.
