@GlennKirby @golfcoursemana1 We’ve got data on this @ICL_Turf completed at @strigroup_ looked at reductions from different dew dispersion approaches (not published yet). Total dew recorded for control plots was lower than expected, 300-1000L/ha depending on severity ( Im sure USGA had figures way higher)

@golfcoursemana1 always wanted to do a project looking at this. you could have a go with paper towels????? weigh before and after placing on the ground to estimate weight of water absorbed. then work out area. not exact but a good start. happy to help if you need it.

How much moisture is returned to the surface via a heavy dew like this? Our best guess this past week is between 1-2mm based on ET & our irrigation cycles. Anyone done any research on this at at all?

Proud of my old PhD supervisor & Myerscough colleague on fire with his passion for turf/soil science at Turf Science Live. Talking soil biology and a novel take on enhancing it for turf health.
