Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die —ever. Do you believe this?” (Jn. 11:25-26) Pretty audacious thing for a person to say if he wasn't actually God. It's a good thing then, that Jesus is.

People love to point out differences in the Gospel accounts—was there one angel or two, did events happen in this order or that? But discrepancies in details don’t cancel the event itself. Just like Titanic survivors remembered it differently but agreed it sank, the Gospel writers may vary in minor details, yet they all proclaim the same truth: Jesus is risen.

To the grown christian men out there: it's ok to not like most modern christian music. Besides the fact that it's theologically shallow, musically it's designed for the average 32 year old soccer mom. This is the case for every seeker sensitive church service as well.

The primary function of the local church IS NOT evangelism. The local church exists primarily to: 1.Worship God 2.Preach and teach sound doctrine 3.Equip the saints 4.Practice the ordinances 5.Maintain holiness through discipline 6.Send out trained witnesses into the world Evangelism is essential—but it’s the mission of the people, not the central focus of the weekly gathering. If you make that the focus of the weekly gathering you’ll eventually soften on sin to make the church seeker-sensitive. The church exists to feed sheep—not entertain goats.
