@RedNinetyFour He's been doing a great job, and he has been the right coach at the right time - but it also must be said that he was allowed to choose his own veterans and assistant coaches when management decided they wanted the team to start winning again.

Some people criticize me for never criticizing Ime Udoka. This is why. He can never do any wrong in my book.

This may sound like hyperbole to those who weren’t there but it feels surreal right now seeing Alpi commanding the ball on every possession in crunch time every night, being mentioned in MVP discussions, and having a future HOFer playing off of him. I never dreamed we’d be here. Many of us saw it from Day 1 as early as SL when he dominated Evan Mobley in their matchup, and then all of the glimpses of future stardom in his rookie season when Stephen Silas actually gave him a chance. The elite vision and post play. I remember him working Bobby Portis over in the post as a 19 year old. We were gaslit by shills in the local media into thinking the benching and scapegoating was deserved, and that the precocious parts of Alpi’s game weren’t actually special and something to embrace and build upon. (Where are those shills now? 🤔) KPJ and Jalen are gone and Alpi is the hub of the league’s best offense. We have KEVIN DURANT praising and empowering him. This will be seen as a divisive tweet but that’s fine. This is what’s going through my mind now on a nightly basis watching our guy doing what he’s doing. Many of you will relate. This is the most improbable rise to superstardom in my lifetime as a fan.
