@TomosPritchard5 It’s because you have no roots in a particular place so it’s easy for you to switch allegiances at the drop of a hat.

Why are the English so upset that Scotland supports any team that plays against them. All they do is abuse us and accuse us of living off them. Is it any wonder we support other teams playing against them. Dry your eyes, treat us with respect and maybe you'll get some back.

@MOCS_Gov @EssexPR He doesn’t seem to fear scrutiny the way those on the right do. Lives and pays his taxes in the UK, declares all political donations. All seems to be above board and out in the open.

for anyone wondering: vince is the founder of Ecotricity, net worth around £107 million, Labour's single biggest donor at over £6 million since 2013…. His company has also received more than £3.5 million in contracts from Sadiq Khan's City Hall since 2020. The money appears to go in, the contracts appear to come out. so now he is now spending some of that fortune to fund Count Binface, a man who dresses as a bin, to stand against @Nigel_Farage in Clacton, because a democratic contest against a party whose policies might threaten his business model is apparently beneath him. A green energy millionaire whose wealth depends on government subsidy and political patronage, deploying a joke candidate to block the one man who might threaten the arrangement. The super rich the left approve of Come and follow us for more common sense

@SaorAlbannach Propbably not thought about it much because it’s not very important. What differences would you want to see in an independent Scottish immigration system?

@MarkHeath45 It’ll be even funnier when he wins then! 🤣 Even if he doesn’t, every vote for him is a humiliation for Farage.

@AdamRamsay For me no, because France are a better team so I’d rather see them go out leaving England with a better chance of winning the trophy.

@duffy_sean_ Here’s a trick for you. When the merciless abuse comes, simply insist you were “just happy to be there”. Make sure you’re in a relatively safe environment though if you’re going to try it ⚽️👍

The great thing about living in Scotland as a true-born Englishman is every 2 years you can say ‘it’s coming home’ in a low murmur at any time and send a room into a rage. Worth it, despite the moment when inevitably it does not come home and you have to suffer merciless abuse.

@Andyr555 Pointless continuing this discussion because your knowledge of Scottish history (and English history) is clearly at pre-school level. And that’s being polite. Have a good day.

@arabshedboy OK, we can pretend the there is no UK, the King wears “two crowns” and you can choose to live under your prefered crown. So next time someone tells me Scotland needs independance, I’ll explain how the two crown system has that covered already.

@arabshedboy “More than one crown” is meaningless crap. If you didn’t like the King of Scotland you couldn’t just move to England to escape his will. Both nations retain some of their institutions to this day but it doesn’t stop nationalists claiming to be colonised.

@Andyr555 No it isn’t. European history is littered with examples of monarchs that wore more than one crown. It wasn’t all that unusual when James VI became king of another kingdom in 1603. The key point is that both nations remained independent with different policies and priorities.

@Andyr555 If you are referring to the period between 1603 and 1707, then that is correct, the kingdoms were not united. There was no ‘Great Britain’ until 1707. Furthermore, there was no ‘United Kingdom’ until 1801. If you didn’t know that, you might want to stop sounding like a twit.
