@FutureJewelryCo Lower prices don’t make natural diamonds worthless, they make them more accessible. And natural diamonds vs mass-produced stones are two completely different value stories.

@Catzies @HazelAppleyard It doesn’t matter. Now that commercial production of lab grown diamonds is possible and getting cheaper all the time, the value of “real” diamonds is dropping precipitously ever year. You’d be a fool to buy a rapidly depreciating asset b

@Morradrummer And the way she said “blood diamond” like it’s still 2005 😅 the industry has evolved a lot since then

@BabyBratKim @Rich_Cooper Lab-grown has its pros, but it’s not automatically the ethical winner 😅 once you factor in energy and supply chains, it’s a bit more nuanced.

@planethibaaq People act like lab = 100% ethical, but it’s not that simple, there are environmental and production factors too.

Blood diamonds can be traced dummies. Open those vaults. Not my fault you’re too consumerist to buy ethically sourced lab grown diamonds 🤷🏽‍♀️

@WilliamChellis @LaNativePatriot I get you, but not every luxury ring is a blood diamond 😅 many natural diamonds today come through stricter sourcing standards, with more traceability and oversight than before.

@SubparSammich @Mubarak_mubious They're both beautiful pieces, but natural and lab-grown aren’t interchangeable. Same sparkle, very different formation, rarity, and long-term value dynamics.

Diamonds. Moissanite is the superior clear gemstone at 1% the price. Lab grown diamonds are 100% genuine diamonds with flawless quality. "Natural diamonds" are the exact same thing as a lab grown just with impurities and trash quality. Anyone who buys "natural diamonds" anymore is a bonafide retard and should be laughed at

@mobabyxo Natural diamonds were never only about price. They’re also about rarity, symbolism, and uniqueness. Most natural diamonds today, about 99%, are also conflict-free and sourced under strong regulations - the industry has changed significantly.

@Cuffit22 @DeionHD Moissanite is an option, sure. But many natural diamonds today are traceable and responsibly sourced too. Not every natural diamond is linked to child labour, the conversation is way more nuanced than that.

@ZSibony @DeionHD This is why natural diamonds keep their appeal. Moissanite, lab-grown, and natural diamonds all have lanes, but natural diamonds still carry a uniqueness that can’t be duplicated line for line.

@DeionHD Moissanite and lab diamonds are ass tho. It def brought natural diamonds down to earth a bit. But there will never be a sub for real diamonds. The lab market is so saturated now

@TheSalonDon I hear you, but most people don’t buy a natural diamond for resale 😭 they buy it for love, rarity, and something real to wear for life (heirlooms etc). Prices may change, but its natural rarity, timeless appeal, and meaning can’t be taken away.

@Rich_Cooper The fact that she even called it a blood diamond when the narrative has changed so much over the years 😭 There are so many conflict-free diamonds in the market today, under strict regulations too.

@Rich_Cooper When are people going to fucking realize lab grown diamonds ARE REAL DIAMONDS! educate yourselves! Oh I'm sorry do you need the blood of some African slave on your shiny rock to feel loved? Lab grown are genetically identical and far more beautiful. Dumb bitches

There are so many instances of couples/women being able to sell their engagement rings and jewelry if they fall on hard times. Thinking of how that option changes with the rise of lab gems

@ElijahColeman21 @b_co_co They’re a good option, but not quite the same. Natural diamonds are finite, which is where that long-term value and meaning comes in

Who even needs diamonds?! In 2017, I paid $850 for two wedding rings. No diamonds. No engraving. Just gold. And two nice burgundy boxes. But 60% of the world still buys diamond rings. We weren’t among them. And we don’t regret it. Even though we could afford it. We just understood: diamonds wouldn’t have made our marriage stronger. And paying for real diamonds would’ve been a significant — and, unfortunately, unnecessary — premium. Here’s one example: In 2025 alone, natural diamonds dropped ~20% in value on average. But ring prices went up instead: +15% Tiffany & Co. +12% Cartier +10% Harry Winston +15% Graff Fair? No. But you pay for the flex. Instead of diamonds, we spent two amazing weeks in Bali. And that time strengthened our relationship more than any stone ever could. What’s your take on diamonds?
