@eperry2011 @revpmr I hear you. The tough part is, they might be the only ones who will produce a nice copy of the BSB. The other publishing houses have their own translations to push, and likely have no interest in seeing the BSB be successful.

@Anfechtung @revpmr i thought about buying one of those (via the Kickstarter in fact) but the issue is they've got "pictures" of Christ in them, and no matter how pretty the artwork might be, i physically cringe at the 2CV that is; if I had an option where those weren't in it, I'd have bought 2 😬

once i learned of false friends i didn't even know were there (and how they kinda skewed my understanding of things), yeah i moved on...i still have much memory of it as it is what i grew up reading but nah not now i am one of a few weirdos that carry and regularly use the BSB

@revpmr the berean standard bible-an "open source" translation with a fairly interesting (and open) translation process. reads a bit to the "right" of the ESV, but not quite as far as the NIV or CSB(as such I find it reads well out loud). hard to find in print at times though 😭
