Living God, you call life out of death and hope out of what seems lost. Strengthen our faith in your power to renew when we face fear, grief or uncertainty. Set us free from all that binds us, that we may walk in the new life you give and follow Christ with trust and courage.

The Fifth Sunday of Lent, when the Church looks toward the new life God brings even in death. Jesus raises Lazarus, revealing power over loss and pointing to the resurrection. As Lent draws to a close, we trust Christ to bring life from death through God’s transforming love.

Pray for Korean Peninsula peace and reconciliation; Anglican Church's environmental efforts like Mongolia forestation; justice, democracy, and human dignity in South Korea; and mission to empower youth in faith and leadership. Amen. Amen

Prayer: God of justice and mercy, you created all people in your image and call us to live as one human family. Forgive us for the ways prejudice and discrimination continue to divide your world. Give us courage to confront racism, compassion to stand with those who suffer. Amen

On this day, we remember Sharpeville’s victims and racism’s enduring harm. As a global Church, we reject prejudice and renew our call to justice, reconciliation, and honouring every person as made in God’s image.
