Had the #Eagles not gotten a deal done with Dallas Goedert, more than $20M in dead money would have hit Philly’s salary cap. That now gets kicked into the future. This at least leaves the possibility of trading A.J. Brown open. If Philly trades Brown before June 1, they would take on significant dead cap. Taking on dead money from Goedert leaving and trading Brown would have been nearly impossible. Now there is at least a pathway if Philly decides to move him if the right offer comes along.
