Part of his release from the Raiders was that Wilkins was kissing teammates on the head and making them feel uncomfortable. But from what Jordan is alluding to, there might be some worse stuff that Wilkins was doing in the locker room that teammates might not have liked and why he is still unsigned.

@TheDougRush What is the Christian Wilkins situation?

The only reason why I don’t think it was Roquan Smith was from Jordan’s quite of: “A guy that’s getting towards the end of his career.” Roquan came off a Pro Bowl season where he made 130 tackles and is only 28. Not exactly an “end of the career” type season and player.

@TheDougRush Roquan Smith

Ravens fans told me that he wasn’t when I shared that trade proposal between the Giants and Ravens involving him at the start of free agency. I never expected the Giants to get Warner. Yet, that one rumor kept coming back over and over.

@TheDougRush @JordanRaanan Y’all were definitely not getting Fred Warner I heard Roquan smith was available

It could have been, but he was also a lot like Tremaine Edmunds and got released too. Thought about him for a brief seconds for the Giants before he went right back to the Niners.

Given the history with Harbaugh and Roquan from Baltimore, would have made sense. Don’t know if Roquan is considered at the end of his career at 28 though. Some think Zaire Franklin before he got traded.

I was guessing Roquan

The Giants reportedly tried to trade for a veteran linebacker during the early start of free agency. From @JordanRaanan on his Breaking Blue podcast: "The Giants definitely did try to trade for a linebacker, I heard. And the story I heard was that said linebacker didn’t really want to go, and the trade kind of broke apart. It’s a guy that’s getting towards the end of his career, and it just didn’t work out." While the identity of the player wasn’t revealed, given the trade rumors that were circulating on social media around the time of the start of free agency, the veteran linebacker sure sounds like it was 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. Warner, who is considered one of the best middle linebackers in the sport, is 29 years old and coming off a season-ending ankle injury. The Giants ended up signing Tremaine Edmunds to a 3-year deal; Edmunds was initially put on the trade block by the Bears before he was released. The Giants are also thought of to potentially draft a linebacker early on in the 2026 NFL Draft; Ohio State’s Sonny Styles has been frequently mentioned for the Giants in mock drafts.

@TheDougRush @JordanRaanan Now we can ignore you from Giants coverage. I’m not looking to follow someone who randomly guesses things. Joe at the local bar can do that.

Right, but Giants were never connected to Warner. Art made a joking speculation about it, he said he hadn’t heard anything about it. Shouldn’t have used that pic, use Edmunds since he is a Giant now. my point is people do stuff for attention, Doug is at the top of that list. Jordan felt the need to respond, so he felt words were being put in his mouth

Definitely NOT Fred Warner.

The Giants could probably just get a RB in the draft that doesn’t cost them draft picks. Although, on the flip side of it; is there a better RB in the draft in Day 2 or 3 than Achane? Remains to be seen. For the time being, the Dolphins aren’t trading away their featured back and the Giants will keep their picks.
MLFootball@MLFootball

WHO SAYS NO…? The #Giants trade multiple valuable assets for #Dolphins superstar running back De'Von Achane. De'Von would help jumpstart New York’s rebuild with John Harbaugh and Jaxson Dart. Achane is 24 years old and one of the most electric players in the league.
