From ESPN’s The Pick is In: During the 2026 NFL Draft, the Cowboys offered the Browns No. 12, No. 20 and a 5th round pick for No. 9 and No. 24 in order to move ahead of the Giants and to get Caleb Downs. Cleveland rejected the trade, stayed at No. 9 and took Spencer Fano. The Cowboys felt Cleveland was worried about the Giants taking the OL they wanted, which was why Cleveland didn’t make the deal. The Giants then took Francis Mauigoa at No. 10, who was ranked very high up on the Giants board. Had Arvell Reese not been available at No. 5, the Giants would have gone with Mauigoa at that pick. The Cowboys then traded with the Dolphins to move up to No. 11 and got Downs.

Former Giants QB Russell Wilson is reportedly in deep talks to sign with CBS Sports and join their “The NFL Today” pre and post game show as a studio analyst, per @AndrewMarchand. If Wilson were to join CBS, it likely would mean the end of his NFL playing career. Last week, Wilson had a free agent visit with the Jets to potentially be the backup for Geno Smith, his former teammate with the Seahawks, although no deal came from it. Wilson would potentially fill the void on the show left by Matt Ryan, who left CBS recently to become the Falcons president of football.
