The Oscars are back. A night where celebrities lecture the public… while sitting in a guarded theater wearing millions in diamonds. Spare us the virtue signaling — we don’t care anymore.

The rollercoaster weather that Spring brings to Missouri is always a major adjustment! 😂 Two days ago we had the windows open and wearing shorts. The grass was coming back to life ~ Flash forward to this evening where our temperature will fall into the teens (15 degrees) with a Winter Weather Advisory … snow and wind gust up to 50mph. Near blizzard conditions 😳 on the plus side, less than an inch of snow expected. Thank goodness!!

I had a bad day. Why am I smiling? I assure you, my soul is smiling, even brighter. Really, I had a hard few days. I saw many people in the past 3 days who used to be close friends and now ignore me. Friends whose babies I treated like my own. I very rarely cry and today for the most part I haven’t been able to stop. This is not why I’m writing. For no reason I can discern, I decided to go out in the garden and plant a native plant. I’ve been meaning to add this to one of my beds. I dug my hole, supplemented my soil, pulled the weeds around the area so it could thrive, and planted my plant. I turned to grab my hose so I could water the area and I heard HORSE trotting. i’ve never heard horse trotting around my house and I love horses as much as I love golden retrievers, which is saying a lot. I ran up to my fence and peeked my head over and what do I see… I see a young man with a cowboy hat, riding a horse in a slow trot, right behind my house. The joy, the peace, the childlike wonder I experienced in that moment was God. I’ve been talking to him all day. Praying that he help me let go of this pain and resentment I have for people who cut me out of their lives. (That is their right.) I have prayed to let go of this for months. Yet still, I dream about the friends that I lost and constantly stress about seeing them. I don’t know how to explain it, but the minute I finished planting that plant and saw that horse and listened to his trot that he seemed so proud to display and the cowboy that was in an unbreakable trance, since that moment I have been at peace. This is just a reminder to everyone that God is everywhere. He’s there to help you heal. You just have to be quiet, listen, and follow.

Hello Mr. Desiderio, Your employer, effectively, is leveraging our taxpayer money for access laundering with the purpose of bypassing us, the voters. That's the problem. Voter ID polls around 85–15 nationally. Yet Thune and several unnamed Senate Republicans are siding against an 85–15 issue. They’re the ones out of step with the public. In short, Thune is the paid influencer accusing everyone else of being paid influencers. Then you have the temerity to amplify the messaging of us as "paid influencers." Do you know how insulting that is? Many of us "influencers" are here only because we got doxxed and permanently pushed out of by the same system you defending. And you've done ... what? Throw cushy NFL parties for your corporate sponsors? Here’s the cycle: 1. Congressional staff and committees subscribe to Punchbowl News (with our taxpayer money, no less). 2. Corporations and advocacy groups buy advertising in Punchbowl. 3. Punchbowl maintains privileged access to Senator Thune. 4. Thune advances policy priorities that align with those sponsors, reinforcing the value of their advertising. 5. Those same sponsors route money back to Thune and other members of Congress through PAC donations. 6. The cycle repeats. I’ve attached a diagram that lays out how this system works. The entire point of your existence is to bypass us common people so you can maintain privileged, lavish access to corporate clients. How do you even look at the mirror in the morning?
