I am thrilled to announce that my research group will be transitioning to NC State University this August, where I have accepted the position of “Goodnight Distinguished Chair in Quantum Computing”, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (with joint appointments in Chemistry and Physics) . Purdue has been my home for many years, where I greatly enjoyed teaching and developing my quantum research program. I cannot imagine succeeding and advancing my program without the outstanding support from the Chemistry Department, Purdue University, and my esteemed colleagues in both science and engineering. I eagerly anticipate this new chapter at NC State and look forward to contributing to the cutting-edge research in quantum computing.

Very sad: Josef Michl, famous for his work on photochemistry, biradicaloid species, singlet fission, spectrosc. with polarized light, org. polymers, and other topics, passed away. I've known him for decades. He was a friend of my mentor, the late Joe Paldus. Rest in Peace, Josef.
