Exactly, I couldn’t imagine having to sell the family home as well to pay for the treatment for Mum… she would have been gone in 6 weeks tops without it…as well as deal with financial stress whilst she was fighting. That must be so devastating for folks 😔. I still live in that home with my kiddo and 80 year old widower Dad. I’m grateful to have the memories of my mother there too. Several childhood mishaps, all prenatal care, one birth with a 7 day stay. One 5 day stay after emergency surgery for ruptured throat varicies. Several blood transfusions and the constant blood tests that come with them, IV fluids and medication. Multiple MRI’s for sports injuries… and that’s just me. For my Mum, it was a diagnosis of glioblastoma, a one in one hundred thousand lethal brain cancer… several MRI’s and CT’s, brain surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and the standard medications to try hold it back. Multiple ambulance call outs. She courageously fought for 15 months and passed in 2007 at 57 years young 💔🌹❤️‍🩹. The cost for all of this for both of us?… Zero. 👍✌️🇦🇺😊.
