Trying to watch For All Mankind is testing me in ways I never could’ve imagined. I can suspend disbelief enough to pretend NASA dumped 10 women in the desert for survival training in 1970. I can’t understand how the writer and director managed to prove on camera that they were too lazy to learn how a compass works before filming though. Total immersion breaking. She’s out in the desert waggling around the compass like she’s scanning for Slimer in Ghostbusters. This keeps happening too. The news anchor talks like he’s on a Facetime call with whoever is watching the TV. As though they didn’t watch a single second of archival footage to understand how the news was back then. And sure it’s annoying when the grown men talk like zoomer foids, but I can ignore all that. I can’t ignore people who don’t know how lawnmowers work writing scenes about how to use lawnmowers. It’s just obnoxious.

Can you imagine a reality show that will show people firsthand all of the corruption that is taking place in California? This is actually a really smart move on his part. I think a lot of people would want to see what he does day-to-day to save LA

Funny how they never attack my policy ideas. They can only try to assassinate your character.
