Oh, they also just announced that the SoH is closed. So there is that too. Why are we pretending like the ceasefire is holding?

If Iran does not make a deal, "it's going to be very painful!" - POTUS Pakistan and Iran have attempted to spin the narrative that Hezbollah (Lebanon) was part of the ceasefire agreement. It was not. The Pakistani PM posted the message that SPECIFICALLY included Lebanon 1.5 hours after Trump's statement, and after the Iranian statement. Both statements specifically said "Iran" with no mention of Lebanon. They want to test America's and Israel's resolve. They want to hold the Strait of Hormuz hostage. They want to keep their uranium. They want to keep funding terrorism. Basically, they want to win. They can not accomplish it militarily, so they are trying to conduct information warfare. This ceasefire might as well be over. Iran is negotiating based on bad faith. I hope the Trump admin isn't dumb enough to take them at their word. They have already proven to be unreliable.

PM Netanyahu: There is no ceasefire in Lebanon, we are continuing to Hezbollah very hard… the negotiations with Lebanon aim to dismantle Hezbollah’s weapons and secure a historic, lasting peace agreement, we are aiming for more peace plans in the Middle East.

@MarioNawfal This is international trade terrorism. Iran is attempting to hold the world hostage, this will not turn out well for them. Mark my words.

@JackPosobiec @grok explain why Shemiran (or Shemroon) Hills in Tehran has loose enforcement of things such as the Hijab law. Feel free to note how affluent it is, the fact that foreign embassies are there, etc. Then describe how such laws are actually enforced elsewhere in the country.

Iranians will head to Islamabad. Last night, Iran was on the verge of responding to the ceasefire violation. Pakistan conveyed messages that the US would stop Israel.

@seanhannity She was arrested for divulging how CAG does business. She used to work for the unit, and told how identities were changed, front companies were used, etc. Nothing to do with present day operations.

Iran claims the USA and Israel are in violation of the ceasefire agreement for a second day in a row. Speaker of Iran's Islamic Parliament Ghalibaf demands that military action against Hezbollah in Lebanon cease. VP Vance, POTUS, and Netanyahu all state Lebanon was not part of the deal. Vance tried to chalk it up to a language barrier issue. POTUS's post about the ceasefire clearly stated that we would stop bombing Iran, with no mention of Lebanon. It's also notable that MB Ghalibaf claims Hezbollah as a member of the Iranian "Resistance Axis" and one of Iran's allies.

Riiiiight, you mean to tell me that radical countries like Iran wouldn't exist? I asked you to predict. It's not like Islam wasn't spreading and conquering back then... So I ask again, use your imagination knowing everything you know now. How different would the middle east be today? Would radical islam be 10x worse than it is today? Would there be exponentially more radicals?

Radical Islam, as a modern ideological movement (distinct from historical Islam's medieval expansions via conquest and trade), gained traction post-1970s through events like the Iranian Revolution, Soviet-Afghan War, Saudi-funded Wahhabism via oil wealth, and globalization/migration. It spread rapidly in pockets via ideology, not armies—now ~1-2% of Muslims actively support extremism per polls, but networks reach Europe, Asia, Africa. The Crusades (1095-1291) were a limited counter to Seljuk advances in the Levant, not a barrier to Islam's broader growth (which peaked centuries earlier). Without them: Byzantium might weaken faster, no Crusader states, possibly altered church dynamics in Europe, but no major shift in Middle East power or Islam's trajectory. Today's radicalism ties more to 20th-century failures of secular Arab states, colonialism's end, and tech-enabled recruitment than medieval wars. Speculative, but the world would likely look similar—driven by economics, not 11th-century battles.
