@YahwehGraced Dude, I never said I’m a Jew :))) I said that we, Christians are Israel, God’s true people.
The promises to Israel are fulfilled in Christ, and those united to Christ (Jew and Gentile) become God’s people, Israel.
Don’t put words in my mouth :]

Read these verses slowly
Very slowly and carefully
“I know how you are suffering and how poor you are (though in fact you are rich!), and I know the insults of those who call themselves Jews but aren’t—•on the contrary, they are a synagogue of the Adversary. (Revelation 2:9, CJB)
Here, I will give you some from the synagogue of the Adversary, those who call themselves Jews •but aren’t—on the contrary, they are lying—see, I will cause them to come and prostrate themselves at your feet, and they will know that I have loved you. (Revelation 3:9, CJB)

Do Christians worship a different Elohim (God) than the Elohim of the Bible?
The God Problem of Christianity
Most Christians do not worship under the name YAHWEH at all. They use “God,” a generic title for any deity, and “Lord,” which obscures the personal name entirely. The LXX tradition replaced YAHWEH with Kyrios, and this passed into Latin and then English Bible translations.
The situation is:
- They reject identification with Israel
- They reject the name YAHWEH
- They construct their theology through Greek philosophical categories (Trinity, homoousios, eternal generation, etc.)
- They worship on Sunday, a day with no Torah foundation
- They observe feasts (Christmas, Easter) unrelated to YAHWEH Elohim’s appointed times
At what point does the deity being worshipped cease to be YAHWEH and become a different god, assembled from post-Nicene councils?
This is not a rhetorical question. It is a serious theological one.

@YahwehGraced So you think that the Jews John is talking about are the Old Covenant Jews? The ones that didn’t believe Jesus to be the Messiah, the ones that John said about them belonging to the synagogue of satan?

@AnghelVdragos > We are Israel
Assuming by we you meant the Christian,
Do you know what Bible says about people claiming to be Jews (chosen ones) when you aren’t Jews?
English

@AnghelVdragos I cant wait for the day someone says that about me and it means all 10.
English

@YahwehGraced None of your points are valid!
We are Israel
We reject YAHWEH but not YHWH (the real name)
We constructed our theology through the teachings of Jesus and his early followers
We have 0 reasons to follow the Torah since we received the New Covenant from God Himself
Etc...

@j_zhong1611 So you believe in quadrinity? The Father, The Son, The Bible and The Holy Spirit?
Jesus is the Word of God, scripture is just something else entirely
English

@ThoughtfulSaint "divinity is humanity fully realised". So divinity is something dependent on human nature? Are you saying before God, was men?
English

Jesus has one nature. Divinity is humanity fully realized.
Energetic Procession@Acolyte83349490
This assumes divinity is a genus, just for starters. Secondly you are begging the question relative to individuation and what counts as a person. Third, such reasoning would entail that Jesus is two persons because he has two natures so your LDS corporealism about personhood makes the NT nonsensical.

@kennythefed this is your understanding of orthodox dogma?
your superficial on a daily basis?
English

@YahwehGraced we do worship YHWH, and Him alone, what makes you think differently?
English

@AnghelVdragos New Testament supports none of those changes made by Christians by the way

Has your parish crowned Mary this month? Mine did.

@Ihunanya_chi In Orthodox Christian theology, the short answer is: the Old Covenant was genuinely given by God and was good—but it was never the final goal. It was preparatory, pedagogical, and prophetic, pointing toward the fullness of communion with God revealed in Jesus Christ.

@Mormonger As in both the Son and the Holy Spirit are begotten from Him!
