From our rivers to our SSIs we need @NaturalEngland to be able to do it’s job to protect and restore our landscapes rather than being undermined by those with vested interests.

‘We are damned fools’ says the scientist who sounded the climate alarm in the 80s . . . and now we are globally governed by reckless idiots fiddling with their profits as the earth burns . What will it take for us to wake up and act ? theguardian.com/environment/20…

This is John Thomas, @ULASarchaeology Project Manager for Burrough iron age hill fort and also the recently discovered high status Roman villa in Rutland. This was an excellent guided tour of the hill fort before Covid. Let’s hope he’s the guide again this Friday at 2pm.

So my friends, I’m no longer an Artist Manager but remain something of a story teller. Stories from the past, present and tales of a possible future, all focussed around my beautiful East Leicestershire village, Burrough-on-the Hill. It’s the people that make the #timeandplace

First time I did #Delusions at @AttenboroughAC a woman reported that a strange man, who looked drunk and dishevelled, was hanging out in my exhibition.
It was, of course, me and that’s what I call being an artist in residence.

@Alan_Measles @Philippa_Perry Please check out tinyurl.com/2kz2exw7 @bethlemmuseum. As well as being a funny/troubling look at #bipolar, the piece is also an unflinching look at sectioning: one of society's last tabboos. Would love some tips about where to take it next!
English

@clarefallon Please take a look at @Daveparkin ‘s exhibition currently @bethlemmuseum of the Mind, a biographical account of sectioning and what it’s ‘really’ liked to be sectioned. Maybe he was the lucky one. At least he was seen and heard.

This ‘watching from the edge’ book, full of acute observations and liminal artwork, is at its best when read by a small bedside light in the middle of the night.
