Thank you to Scott and the family for showing me around his sugar beet farm in Crookston this morning! It was great to learn more about Minnesota’s sugar beet industry while talking about how we can better support our family farmers. Getting some delicious rhubarb pie and zucchini brownies certainly didn’t hurt, either!

Made it out to the Pennington County Fair in Thief River Falls early this morning where I had great conversations with 4H club members and stopped to watch the horse show!

I sat down in Bemidji this afternoon with Mayor Jorge Prince and other community leaders to talk about the housing issues folks are facing in Greater Minnesota. Minnesotans across the state need leaders who listen and are ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuff done. That’s exactly what I’ll keep doing.

Incredible tour of the Cantilever Distillery in Ranier today! It was wonderful to see their operation while learning about the importance of local tourism on small businesses like this one.

Made a visit to an International Falls local staple, Coffee Landing Cafe, this morning for a great chat with owners Isaac and Chloe!

Yesterday I visited Damascus Way to hear about the organization’s work to help formerly incarcerated men find employment, permanent housing, and a supportive community. Thanks to Gabriel for showing us around!

Our seniors worked hard for their Social Security benefits, and they deserve to keep them in full.

Had the opportunity to sit down with a group of veterans at the Uptown VFW Post 246 in Minneapolis this morning to hear directly about the challenges they face and how we can better honor our commitment to those who served.

Today I urged DHS and private prison contractor CoreCivic to close the only ICE facility in America specifically designed to hold families with kids. Their cruel, dehumanizing treatment of our immigrant neighbors is unacceptable. This facility & Trump’s ICE must be dismantled.
