Today, Harland & Wolff CEO John Wood spoke at the launch of the Anglo-Irish Friendships at Parliament Buildings in Stormont, emphasising the importance of enhancing connections between the UK and Ireland for all communities. The new group is focused on promoting economic prosperity and partnership across the UK and Ireland. Recognising Harland & Wolff’s operations across Northern Ireland, Scotland and England, John highlighted the company’s role in fostering both strong North-South and East-West connections and shared the company’s ambition to continue creating well-paid, high-quality jobs. John also addressed the need for supportive government policies to foster business collaboration and commented on the importance of creating sustainable development between the UK and Ireland.
