Pretty standard Protestant take. Is everything just more triggering when a Baptist or Evangelical says it?

@OccamsBraiser @PresbyInn Not really, although on paper they were allowed in cathedrals.

@AngloSouthern @PresbyInn Weren't they still in use in the cathedrals?

Not trying to yuck anyone's yum and I'm happy the Anglicans are living their tradition. At the same time, I can understand why the Puritans felt like this was still too Roman.

For Whitsunday we inaugurated our new service of Holy Communion in the High Church tradition. 🕊️🔥 Now celebrated every Sunday at 5pm in St Bartholomew the Less, the service follows the practices of High Church divines such as William Laud, John Cosin and Lancelot Andrewes.

@AngloSouthern I think the dress matters, sure. I'm also wondering how much kneeling and what (if any) petitions are happening between the consecration and the distribution of the elements.

Cool to see Anglicans in the CoE returning to their actual liturgical tradition.

In the Preface to "A Catechism: 1604 Redux", edited by the Rev. Jefferies, he refers to The Church-Catechism Explained by William Beveridge, Lord Bishop of St. Asaph. He calls the Bishop "that trustworthy Anglican Divine".
What Eucharistology did the Bishop explain was taught by the Church of England Catechism?
The same teaching which Jefferies rejects and titles "the Jewel School".

The announcement by President Trump about the potential peace deal is very good news.
To make the deal effective we have to be realistic about Israel.
We must recognize that a peace deal of any kind with the Iranian regime will be viewed by Israelis as an existential threat to their objectives, therefore they will seek to thwart the deal.
To stop the Israelis from thwarting a potential peace deal, we will have to take away the military support that we provide that allows them to go on the offensive against Iran, and make it clear more will be taken from them if they attack Lebanon.

"It is, as we should naturally expect, in the latter part of the eleventh century that the rudiments of a cultus defiintely paid to the reserved Eucharist first appear. And their appearance is rather sudden ; it takes place, apparently, in Normandy, as a demonstration against Berengarian views of the sacrament."
- William Freedstone, The Sacrament Reserved:
A Survey of the Practice of Reserving the Eucharist, with Special Reference to the Communion of the Sick, During the First Twelve Centuries [London, 1912], pgs. 258-259.
