When I started back in 2019 the starter rate was: $1000 for a bg scene $800 for a gg scene That should be higher now, since that was over 6 years ago. If someone wants to pay you to shoot a scene for them, charge them more than that. People will generally try to undercut you, not everyone, but most people. Your rate should be whatever will have you excited to film, nothing less. Every time you film you put your body on the line, and your pay should reflect that risk. You don't need to film for any person or company in order to be successful. You don't need to film any type of content that you don't want to film. You can film solo content. You can live stream. You can record audio content. You can offer phone play on sites that keep your number private. You can be a faceless creator. You can be a non-nude creator. Don't let anyone tell you that you have to do any particular thing or perform in any particular kind of way in order to "make it". I had a threesome scene back in 2019 with a performer who was told by motley, an agency that was dissolved because the people running it were incredibly abusive, that even though she thought vaginas were "gross" and had no interest in having sex with women that she "had to have sex with women" in order to be successful.
