The device below the camera is labeled "External Radar." It appears to be a separate module. Its label does not show an FCC ID. A legible, external FCC ID label is required for radar emitters. So far, we have not found any documentation on these modules or their purpose.

@bentleypc The artifacts in the image are from digital zoom, but I encourage you to go out and fact check. There are likely (tens of) thousands of these modules out there; I'd love to know if they are consistently labeled like this, or if there are different versions.

@tracker1 @OrwellDay If the system can go frame by frame and confirm with itself instead of relying on a single image the system would be more accurate but there is some assumptions in how the unit captures. It could be a burst of images and it does that exact thing and still fails.

@tracker1 @OrwellDay I have looked at the data, you see here specifically I can agree with you because the error rate is higher then it should be allowed. Because the system only takes a picture it can misread the plates, the give the company gives you guys is literally causing issues in my opinion
