@peters_malcolm I can’t buy relatively cheap & safe eggs in Woolworths anymore because some Woolworths executive think I shouldn’t! The current egg shortage is due to corporate decision to walk away from the caged egg industry that has undergone massive upgrades/improvement! Now that is woke!

Back in my days as President of NSW Farmers I recall attending chook farmers farms who produce eggs. They were concerned if they could maintain the quantity of eggs if caged birds were banned. Well looks like it might happened.

Science for Sustainable Agriculture
“The messaging against GMOs is truly shameful. How many people must die of malnutrition before we consider this a crime against humanity? We need more science in politics and less politics in science.” Nobel Laureate Sir Richard Roberts uwaterloo.ca/news/debunking…

@hasselljpb @WAFarmers Gov are good at closing down rural business. They seem to think the public sector can run the economy. They did the same with Timber industry around the Pilliga, flooding the zone with bullshit Tourism will fill in gap.

Cropped fields aren’t degraded nature—they’re designed to feed us, which requires trade-offs. Using natural ecosystems as a benchmark for soil health or regenerative ag is misleading. My latest shows why: csanr.wsu.edu/soil-organic-m…

DYK❓ The carbon footprint of a glass of milk is two-thirds smaller today than it was 70 years ago. This is due to better efficiencies in reproduction, animal health, genetics and high-energy diets. 🥛 clear.ucdavis.edu/news/climate-n…
