Was lovely to talk to The Observer about horseshoe crabs! It’s clear that more ethical & sustainable practices are needed around biomedical use of horseshoe crab blood. Alternatives are great, but they don’t automatically result in changes to scientific practices or cultures!

Excited to get my copy of 'Researching Animal Research' that brings together the important work of @AnimalResNexus on what the humanities & social sciences can contribute to lab animal welfare. Very privileged to be involved in 2 chapters of this impactful book.

How can the humanities and social sciences enrich understanding of the social dimensions of animal research and support new kinds of conversations amongst researchers, technicians, vets, regulators, patients, and publics? We outline some ideas in our new book 👇
